32 bit and 64 bit Windows 7: Everything You Need to Know
The computer architectures which specify the data type length and addresses that they support are defined in various versions. Windows 32-bit and 64-bit versions are the computer architectures of Windows 7 operating system. As Windows XP was developed as a 32-bit OS, the older hardware has 32-bit devices and application development becomes slow on a platform moving to 64-bit. After the release of Windows XP and Vista in 64-bit versions Microsoft released the Windows 7 64-bit version. These 64-bit versions can handle and will include both 64-bit and 32-bit editions that will support all hardware.
The 32-bit versions of Windows 7 are necessary in certain situations where 64-bit cannot be used. These situations are common while having systems that use only 2GB RAM. The 64-bit Windows 7 cannot be installed for devices with a RAM capacity less than 4GB. Having legacy devices such as printers and scanners that do not support 64-bit device drivers will lead to a situation of using the 32-bit version. The 64-bit windows 7 does not support 32-bit drivers, hence making sure that the devices you need or use are 64-bit compatible is necessary. The 64-bit Windows 7 cannot run 16-bit old applications and hence making sure of the type of application to be run on the computer the 64-bit can be chosen.
The major advantage in choosing a 64-bit version is that the RAM capacity is a minimal 4GB that allows you to perform operations on a computer quickly. This 64-bit Windows 7 has a minimal 4GB capacity RAM and can be updated to 8 or 16 GB later on when the system requires it. This makes your computer system future proof and ready for upgrades. The 32-bit versions allow use of RAM up to 4GB theoretically but, the Windows 7 32-bit versions only see a maximum of 3.12 GB. In the case of 64-bit versions of Windows 7 the user can utilize the entire RAM capacity 4GB. The security provided by the 64-bit versions is better when compared to the other versions.
The 64-bit device drivers do not crash randomly as they are digitally signed. Other advanced security features such as Kernel Patch Protection are available with the 64-bit Windows 7. As the 64-bit systems are able to process more amount of information Windows 7 responds better while running complex applications and simultaneous applications. Graphics applications such as Photoshop, games, CAD, video editing and more are better on a 64-bit system than on a 32-bit version. Most 32-bit applications do work well on 64-bit Windows 7 and hence this acts as an added advantage.

Dell XPS and Inspiron Laptops: a Balance of Features, Performance, and Price...
Choosing personal computers today is influenced by a user centric criteria. These include size, power and graphics, convenience, price, and style. People are opting to buy computers that save on space and can be lugged around for long trips. They want desktop replacements (which perform just as well as PCs, but consumes less space and is portable), and sub notebooks (the new name for the small and ultraportable version of laptops). Among the brands that try to balance features, style, user convenience, and price is Dell.
Shining among Dell XPS laptops is the Dell XPS M1730, one you could say was designed for the gaming masses. With strong SLI graphic, an integrated game panel LCD, a convenient backlit keyboard, this laptop can even let you play media files even without booting to the installed operating system. With its massive hard drive and top of the line video graphics, it's a gaming laptop that's more than a replacement desktop. Dell also offers the new Alienware M17X a superb notebook for gamers with Alienware’s BinaryGFX technology, where users have the ability to switch between discrete or integrated graphics. Also Stealth Mode — While in Stealth Mode, discrete graphics cards are turned off and other components throttle down to achieve a 65W power limit.
If you're going for thin and light and hardly a compromise, go for the Dell XPS Notebooks. The Dell XPS M1530, for example, is a fine one. At 5.7 pounds, it's no Mac Air, but it doesn't compromise of features. It's got an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics and 256MB of video memory, more than what you need for YouTube and just enough for the artist's image tweaking and high resolution DVD playback. It's 4 GB of memory is certainly more than what most of the current no compromise notebooks offer. This thin notebook is good enough as a desktop replacement for most people. But not for the hard core gamers.
Dell Inspiron notebooks are a mix of entry level features and pricing. The Dell Inspiron 15, for example, has been released with improvements after consumers provided feedback on the earlier models. This one sports a thinner and lighter frame, and a 2GB RAM along with Intel Core 2 Duo engine. Not bad, except for the plastic feel.
On the cutting edge of newness are the Dell Inspiron Mini 10v Netbooks. The name itself gives away what people on the move would use this for: Internet surfing. Weighing only a little above two pounds, and at just ten inches, it looks perfect for pulling out on Starbucks to catch up on a friend's blog, or check out maps, and do some Twitter'ing. It's got editions that run Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP. Dell Inspiron Laptops are just amazing.
So, let's recap. When you're buying a laptop, here's the criteria:-

- Space (you don't want one that consumes your desk, power and graphics (you want to be able to have fun surfing and yet open multiple spreadsheets and applications).
- Convenience (you don't want to spend more time tweaking and fixing your PC than actually using it).

- Style (gone are the days when awkward and squarish corners looked futuristic).

It's Windows 7! And it's final!
Microsoft has announced that the final, official name of the next version of Windows will be the same as the codename - Windows 7 - making this the first version of Windows to keep its codename as its release name.The codename Windows 7 has turned out to be more than just a codename this time around for Microsoft, as the company has agreed to keep things simple and keep the name Windows 7 for the final release of the operating system as well.
As Mike Nash, corporate vice president of Windows Product Management puts it:-
"The decision to use the name Windows 7 is about simplicity. Over the years, we have taken different approaches to naming Windows. We've used version numbers like Windows 3.11, or dates like Windows 98, or "aspirational" monikers like Windows XP or Windows Vista. And since we do not ship new versions of Windows every year, using a date did not make sense. Likewise, coming up with an all-new "aspirational" name does not do justice to what we are trying to achieve, which is to stay firmly rooted in our aspirations for Windows Vista, while evolving and refining the substantial investments in platform technology in Windows Vista into the next generation of Windows."
This is the first time a Windows version has used its codename also as the name of the final release, and also one of the earliest naming announcements from Microsoft, as Windows 7 hasn't even reached its first beta version. A pre-beta will be handed out to attendees of the PDC and WinHEC conferences taking place later this month.

Renaming Windows 7...
What name do you like for Windows 7? Cast your vote at ZDNet. For me I would like to call it Windows OW1 so on... WHY? Because... in short it will becomes WoW! When someone asking me what is my OS so I can easily answer, "I'm using WoW Three! What's yours?"Windows OW can also be called Windows of the World, Web of Windows etc, etc, etc..! WoW!
By the way.... we have to wait because;
