Care to Join?

Anonymous (used as a mass noun) is a group, spread through the Internet, initiating active civil disobedience, while attempting to maintain anonymity. Originating in 2003 on the imageboard 4chan, the term refers to the concept of many online community users simultaneously existing as an anarchic, chaotic, global brain. It is also generally considered to be a blanket term for members of certain Internet subcultures, a way to refer to the actions of people in an environment where their actual identities are not known.

No E-Mail Address!

An unemployed man is desperate to support his family of a wife and three kids. He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test.

The human resources manager tells him, "You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where to report on your first day."

Taken back, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address.  To this the manager replies, "You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a high-tech firm. Good day."  Stunned, the man leaves. Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25 lb. crates of beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit.  Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family.

During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day. By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly.

Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck.

At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him.  By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes.  He continues to work hard.

Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse that his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business grossed over one million dollars. Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance. Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail address in order to send the final documents electronically.

When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned, "What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!"  Ha" snorts the man. "If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.35 an hour."

The Great Actors...

My beloved country have been through many unpleasant phenomenas lately.  Whatever reasons or promises given by those involved are really not a big deal for a person like me who does not have a big and expensive dreams in life.  I have enough money for foods and shelter but it is not enough if I do gambling, clubbing or partying.  I understand that nothing is free!

Those reasons and promises are only of a good value to those who actually need a power to live. They have everything but it is still not enough for them because only power can help them fulfil their unlimited needs.  I do not easily trust anyone with good words and promises, they are the great actors and will not respect others who against them.  Life is fun and fun is everywhere - right now I am busy having fun playing with these two!

Where Is Garfield?

Since Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties in 2006 then no more Garfield movie... Those two movies of Garfield weren't bad at all - if it's a movie about cat then cat lovers surely love to watch it.  The collection wasn't bad either:-

Opening Weekend:
$7,288,977 (USA) (18 June 2006) (2946 Screens)
Gross:
$140,225,000 (Worldwide) (16 December 2006)

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:      $28,426,747        20.1%
+ Foreign:   $113,275,517        79.9%

= Worldwide:  $141,702,264

I hope this year or next we could watch another Garfield movie and in 3D of course!  Make it more creative, more adventurous and much moral value in it.  I missed Garfield!

My Reaction to Osama bin Laden’s Death

We might ask ourselves how we would be reacting if Iraqi commandos landed at George W. Bush’s compound, assassinated him, and dumped his body in the Atlantic.

It’s increasingly clear that the operation was a planned assassination, multiply violating elementary norms of international law. There appears to have been no attempt to apprehend the unarmed victim, as presumably could have been done by 80 commandos facing virtually no opposition—except, they claim, from his wife, who lunged towards them. In societies that profess some respect for law, suspects are apprehended and brought to fair trial. I stress “suspects.” In April 2002, the head of the FBI, Robert Mueller, informed the press that after the most intensive investigation in history, the FBI could say no more than that it “believed” that the plot was hatched in Afghanistan, though implemented in the UAE and Germany. What they only believed in April 2002, they obviously didn’t know 8 months earlier, when Washington dismissed tentative offers by the Taliban (how serious, we do not know, because they were instantly dismissed) to extradite bin Laden if they were presented with evidence—which, as we soon learned, Washington didn’t have. Thus Obama was simply lying when he said, in his White House statement, that “we quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda.”  Read more...

Borderlands video game fans must clearly remember the rusty robot Claptrap. Gearbox Software created this fantastic video for two of its biggest Borderlands fans, Ben and Tora.  With the help of Claptrap, Ben popped the question to Tora on April 23. As seen exclusively on Kotaku.  A must watch proposal video is:-

Dedicated Server And Its Advantages

Web hosting has always been a very important aspect of the World Wide Web in the recent times. Every company, organization or individual establishment that wants to get to the global arena usually go for a professional website which is only made available through web hosting services. Dedicated servers are among the basic systems used in web hosting. Let's take a look at the advantages.

What is a Dedicated Server?
Dedicated server is a lone web server situated within a network of connected computers. It's dedicated to a single customer or a single large business organization. In most cases dedicated servers are created with nice customer service directly from the web hosting company offering the service. The host company works with the client to ensure that the dedicated server meets all the expectations required.

There are some advantages associated with dedicated server. Let's examine them.

Meeting the Needs of Large Business Organizations
When properly installed, a dedicated server can meet the needs of a large business organization in diverse ways. It allows the client to customize both software and hardware set-ups to meet required needs. It also ensures faster data access and high traffic for the organization involved.

Easy Creation of Domain
Dedicated server helps the client to create several domains on the server easily. This usually helps companies that have chains of retail outlets or multiple divisions which they want to showcase on their sites. The creation of several domains reduces the cost of web hosting for the company involved since multiple domains are easily hosted using one server.

Stable operations
A dedicated server is usually very stable in every ramification. When you operate the server, you're sure to have enough control over what happens on it. You can decide on what scripts to run, the types of online activities to allow and so on. You simply direct the affairs of the server at will. This is where the dedicated server has an edge over shared server. In a shared server, your operation is affected by other activities going on from other quarters which are totally out of your control.

Nice Option for Large Business
Dedicated servers are the best options for larger businesses and corporations. They provide excellent controlled servers for such firms. With such severs, large businesses can have excellent control over what happens on the servers and their various business operations.

In all, dedicated servers are available through reliable web hosting companies. You need to take time to pick the right company that gives you the best. Always go for a company that has up-to-date technical support facilities. You can equally go for a company that provides 24 hour support any time you need that.

Google in KL

Google's Southeast Asia Managing Director Julian Persaud said the investments included the opening of its Kuala Lumpur office Wednesday which was in line with Google's commitment to provide Malaysians with local products.

He said Malaysia has now reached 17 million Internet users and high growth was expected from the wireless markets as the online environment in Malaysia was growing rapidly with significant developments taking place in both broadband Internet access and e-commerce activities.

Games on...

If you love to play games seriously on PC both offline and online, you should have at least these two clients; Steam and Impulse. You can buy any games available through them and download then install the games on your PC.  The clients will do the job for you plus the games are original and cheaper from the stores (but you will be missed the box and the printed user manual but the pdf manual is always there for you to read).  Payment is by any credit cards or paypal.

All you need are the fastest internet speed you can get to download the games you buy. They are always between 4GB to 15GB in size. Also you need a descent PC with fast CPU, GFX card, plenty of RAM and enough hard disk space to run the games you buy. You must register first (it is FREE) with Steam or Impulse to make any purchase.  In my experience both are very reliable and they both support multiplayer on the internet or local area network (LAN).  The clients are also automatically updating your game if available but you can choose to update it manually if you want to.

A top notch game machine...
(Click picture to see the details)

TIPS: Sometimes the games are on sale!!! They can go to less than 50% to 75%!  But you have to wait for a special day of the world or United States such as New Year, Black Friday etc. to get that offer...
