Nuclear Power?
A stranger was seated next to a little girl on an airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, 'Let's talk . I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.
The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?'
'Oh, I don't know', said the stranger. 'How about nuclear power?'
'OK'. she said. 'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat grass, the same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'
The stranger thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea.'
The little girl then replies... 'Do you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know Sh*t?'

What Say You... (Travis Tritt - Featuring John Mellencamp) *Video clip at the sidebar*
I believe that there's a right And I believe that there's a wrong That north and south Black and white Can somehow get along What say you What say you
I believe that there's a basic good in the heart of every man And I'm not gonna criticize what I can't understand. What say you What say you
I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind To take a stand, to draw the line To speak my heart and bare my soul I don't like lies I'd rather know the truth Yea, what say you What say you
But I'm not ashamed of where I come from With this blue collar on my shirt And I don't look for handouts Cause I'm not afraid of work What say you Yeah, what say you
Man, I don't talk no religion And I ain't gonna wave that flag But I love God and America (Oopps Malaysia...) :) And I fight for what I have What say you Yeah, what say you
I know I'm not always right I don't think I'm better than you I don't have all the answers But I'll share my point of view What say you I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind Take a stand and draw that line To speak my heart and bare my soul I don't like lies I'd rather know the truth So what say you What say you What say you and you and you and you ... What say you

Merchant and the Fisherman...
An American merchant was travelling around close to a Mexican village once. He then saw this local fisherman arriving back from the sea with a few fish in his boat.
"How long did it take you to catch the fish?", The merchant asked the fisherman.
"A very short time", replided the fisherman.
"Why didn't you wait longer so you could catch more fish?" asked the American merchant.
"Because this much is enough to fill up my family's stomach.", said the fisherman.
The merchant then asked: "what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"Well, I sleep late; then I'd do a little fishing; then I play with my kids; then I'd go in the village to drink and play guitar with friends. That's all we do...", was the Mexican fisherman's response.
The American merchant then said: "Well, I have studied in the Harvard and I can help you. You have to fish more and sell them. Then you can buy a larger boat with its money and with the income you get off that you can then buy more fishing boats. Then you'll have a lot more boats for fishing.
"And then what?", asked the fisherman.
The merchant replied: "instead of selling your fish to the medelling man you can sell them directly to the customers and set up a business for yourself... Then you'd build a factory and supervise its productions... Then you'd leave this small village and then you go to Mexico City! And after that to Los Angeles! And after that to New York... That is where you'd be doing more important jobs...
The fisherman asked: "how long would that take?"
"About fifteen to twenty years!", said the merchant.
"And then what sir?", asked the fisherman.
The merchant responded: "that is the best part: when the right time comes, you'd go and sell the company's stocks at a very high price. This will bring you millions of dollars of revenues!
The fisherman, excited, said, "millions of dollars? And then he asked, "well, what then?"
The merchant replied: "then you'd be retired! you'd go to a small coastal village! Where you can sleep late, do a little fishing and play around with your kids! And then go in the village to play guitar with your friends, stay late time and have fun.

Men Vs Women
Three women and three men are traveling by train to the football game. At the station, the three men each buy a ticket and watch as the three women buy just one ticket.
'How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?' asks one of the men.
'Watch and learn,' answers one of the women. They all board the train. The three men take their respective seats but all three women cram into a toilet together and close the door. Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets.
He knocks on the toilet door and says, 'Ticket, please.' The door opens just a crack, and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on. The men see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea; so, after the game, they decide to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money. When they get to the station they buy a single ticket for the return trip but see, to their astonishment, that the three women don't buy any ticket at all!!
'How are you going to travel without a ticket?' says one perplexed man.
'Watch and learn,' answer the women. When they board the train, the three men cram themselves into a toilet, and the three women cram into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train is on its way, one of the women leaves her toilet and walks over to the toilet in which the men are hiding. The woman knocks on their door and says, 'Ticket, please.'
(I'm still trying to figure out why men ever think they are smarter than women)... ;)

Labour Day!
Most countries celebrate Labour Day on May 1, known as May Day and International Workers' Day. In Europe the day has older significance as a rural festival which is predominantly more important than that of the Labour Day movement. The holiday has become internationalised and several countries hold multi-day celebrations including parades, shows and other patriotic and labour-oriented events.

It is obvious that without computers we would find our life extremely difficult, maybe even impossible. If they disappeared for just one day, would we be able to cope? Be part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the Internet. The idea behind Shutdown Day is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate! Shutdown your computer on 03 May 2008 and find out!

MALAYSIA: An Asian Retirement Paradise...
Asia's best-kept secret for expatriates, Malaysia has a vibrant mix of foreign and indigenous tribal cultures, creating a veritable melting pot of peoples, traditions and religions.
A sizable enclave of foreigners (Brits, Americans, Australians, and Canadians) live full time or maintain holiday homes in Malaysia, and you'll find that just about everybody speaks English, since its compulsory in local schools. Not only are three world-class playgrounds (Thailand, Bali, and the Philippines) all within a few hour's travel from Malaysia, but with miles of white sand coastline, tropical islands, and beachfront property galore, it has all the makings of a fairy-tale setting. Despite being the capital of a developing nation, Kuala Lumpur is a modern cosmopolitan with clean streets and sidewalks and every modern convenience to found in New York or London. Home to the tallest building in the world, there are also FedEx and UPS offices, international banks, English cinemas and bookstores, western-style supermarkets, French and German bakeries, Chinese, Indian, and Italian restaurants, gourmet coffee, Cuban cigars, Internet cafés and some of the best shopping in the world!
One of the few things that lend a "Third-world" feel to the capital are the open-air night market, where local merchants peddle everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, to meat and fish, to exotic animals and traditional handicrafts. All the major newspapers are available at newsstands, including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune and The New York Times. Cable and satellite TV provides access to a wide variety of English-language programming, including CNN, the Discovery Channel, Filmnet and many more.
Despite the local Muslim population not drinking alcohol, Kuala Lumpur has some of the liveliest nightlife in the region and there are more than a fair share of clubs and bars, where tourists, expatriates and locals alike mingle and party. Though the official religion of Malaysia is Islam, great tolerance is shown for other religions, with many beliefs being represented and their adherents practicing openly, including Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists and Jews (the nearest synagogue is in neighboring Singapore).
Compared with other major Asian cities (Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, for example), Kuala Lumpur is downright cheap. Even in the over-priced tourist spots you can get a good meal for two for around US20. Outside of these places, a 3-course meal for two with all the trimmings, including drinks, will set you back no more than US10… a doctor's visit US8 to US15 and live-in domestic help US200 a month. Rental properties are readily available and not overly expensive by American or European standards. The cost of 2-bedroom rental apartments begins at around US225 per month, with 3-bedroom houses starting at US35,000. Naturally, comparable housing in expatriate communities or the luxurious suburban homes that date from British colonial period can set you back considerably more.
Other properties recently on offer include:- A 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, 725-square-foot apartment with a dining room, a kitchen, ceiling fans, a walk-in closet, and parking, costs US45,215.
A small two-story bungalow with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room going for US35,700.A penthouse apartment, close to downtown, with a sea-view and a 350-sqare-foot terrace. It comes fully furnished and has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a dining room. The asking price? US75,000.
A spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2500-square-foot condominium with a large living room, an elegant dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a pantry, for US125,250.
Though there are expensive restaurants and accommodations, there's simply no reason for you to check into a five-star hotel when you can stay in a clean, friendly hotel in the city center for US40 a night where every meal costs less than US5.00 per person.
CRIME-FREE AND FOREIGNER FRIENDLY Of course, cheap living shouldn't be the only deciding factor when choosing a new home. As well as being very affordable, Malaysia is safe. The government's real no tolerance policy means street crime is virtually nonexistent. The Malaysian government, through its Silver-Haired Program, offers expatriate resident retirees extremely attractive benefits. Outside of nationals of Israel and Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), the program is open to citizens of most countries. To qualify, you need only be over 50, show you can bring a guaranteed income of about US1300 per month into Malaysia (or open a savings account in Malaysia with US40,000), and have a local sponsor (which can easily be arranged).
Penang, a small island off the northwest coast, has been called the "Pearl of the Orient" and its beaches are a favorite tourist destination. The coastline is also dotted with many small, quiet seaside villages. The tropical rainforests and jungles offer many opportunities for exploring lush mountains, trekking through the jungle, or even taking a riverboat safari. The bountiful sea surrounding Malaysia provides for some of the best scuba diving and fishing anywhere in the world (Malaysia's seas are home to the Black Marlin, tuna, mackerel, sailfish, barracuda and a host of other species).
PRACTICAL BENEFITSMedical care is good, with excellent hospitals and clinics in all the major towns. Doctors speak English, and the majority gained their qualifications in Western Europe or North America.
Although foreign residents must arrange private health insurance, visiting tourists who have an accident are entitled to free emergency treatment in public hospitals. A consultation with a private doctor in most cases will cost just US8 to US15.
When it comes to banking, management methods and the range of services offered closely follow the British model. Plus, most major world banks have full-service branches in Malaysia. Many expatriates living here off investment income keep their cash growing tax free in Labuan, an offshore tax haven administered by Malaysia, and then bring into the mainland what's needed for living expenses. Labuan is also perfect for anyone looking for a private, offshore bank account, a tax-free corporation, a trust, or other offshore structures.
Led by Malaysian Airlines, the national carrier, the island is served by many major airlines, linking it the world through its international airports. A good network of modern roads covers the distances between towns, and Malaysian telecommunications are among the best in the world. If you've ever thought about living overseas, you owe it to yourself to investigate Malaysia.

Shoes care...
GENERAL To help maintain the appearance and to prolong the life of your shoes, shoe specialists recommended the following:- 1. Regular use of the shoe care protector will help to guard against staining and water penetration. NB:Important - Please note: A protector spray will not make the shoe waterproof. 2. Wet shoe should always left to dry naturally, never by artificial heat. 3. The use of shoe horn will prevent damage to the back of your shoes. The use of shoe trees will maintain the shape of your shoes when not being worn. 4. To prolong the life of your shoes, it is advisable to alternate wear between two pairs of shoes.
SOLES Leather Soles are a natural product which offer you, the wearer, a breathable, flexible sole. Because of its porous nature, a leather sole will let in the water. For this reason they are not suitable for excessive outdoor use. After a period of time the soles will wear away, even under normal conditions, making it necessary for the sole to be repaired.
Polyurethane (P.U) Sole is lightweight & comfortable in wearing. To maintain the life of the sole, a few notes must be noted:- - Never leave the shoes unworn for more than six months after used or it may crack when it is reused.
- This sole is not suitable for any performance in sports or adventure outdoor use.
- Never use any chemical to wash the surface of the sole if there is some stubborn stain.
Rubber Sole is very flexible in bending and therefore it is comfortable. It gives excellent results in water and oil resistant. It also could stand to a very high temperature without damage if compare to other type of sole.
EVA Sole has became latest technology in sole manufacturing. It is very soft and comfortable yet durable. Resist high temperature with good water and oil resistance level. It is light in weight excellent shock absorbency and good gripping surface. LEATHER UPPERS Leather shoes need regular cleaning and care with wax polishes or shoe creams. Select closes colour to your shoes – if in doubt use a neutral shade. Before cleaning ensure the shoes are dry and remove all surface mud and dust with a damp cloth. NUBUCK LEATHER AND SUEDE LEATHER UPPERS Due to the fine nap of this leather, extra care should be taken when cleaning. Gentle use of suede brush with a nubuck or suede cleaner will remove most stains. Please note: nubuck and suede leather cannot be entirely colourfast.

Ego...

- The ego is the worst confidence trickster we could ever figure, we could ever imagine. 'Cause you don't see it.
- And the single biggest con is "I am you".
- The problem is that the ego hides in the last place that you'd ever look within itself.
- It disguises its thought as your thought, its feelings as your feelings. You think it's you.
- Peoples' need to protect their own egos knows no bounds. They will lie, cheat, steal, kill, do whatever it takes to maintain what we call ego boundaries.
- People have no clue that they're imprisoned. They don't know that there is an ego. They don't know the distinction.
- At first it's difficult for the mind to accept that there's something beyond itself, that there's something of greater value and greater capacity for discerning truth than itself.
- In religion, the ego manifests as the devil. And of course no one realizes how smart the ego is because it created the evil so you could blame someone else.
- In creating this imaginary external enemy, it usually made a real enemy for ourselves, and that become a real danger to the ego but that's also the ego's creation.
- There is no such thing as an external enemy. No matter what that voice in your head telling you. All perceptions of an enemy is a projection of the ego as the enemy.
- In that sense, you could say that 100 percent of our external enemies are of our own creation...
- Your greatest enemy... is your own inner perception, is your ignorance, is your own ego...

LITTLE Things...
A good one for all of us to ponder…
What ever that happens in life, happens for good..... so stop worrying about the future and forget the past.
After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive, and all the stories were just the 'LITTLE' things.
As you might know, the head of the company survived that day because his son started kindergarten. Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time. One of them missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change. One's car wouldn't start. One went back to answer the telephone. One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have. One couldn't get a taxi. The one that struck everyone was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone......... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment...
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated...

Is your Computer Underperforming?
If your computer is not living up to its expectations you should do something about it. All too often people have a computer that does not quite work, and instead of getting it fixed they ignore the problem or even spend the money on a new computer. But instead of doing this, why not find out why your computer is underperforming, and then look into possible solutions. No matter what you use your computer for you should not have to put up with a poorly performing machine. If you are using your computer for business you know just how important it can be to have one that works as it is supposed to. The bottom line is that a computer that does not perform at a high level of quality will hold you back in the business world. Can you imagine using a computer that does not move quickly enough? This could cost you several hours each day, and in turn make your business much less cost efficient.
The question that most people have is how they will know if their computer is not living up to its standards. Even though there is no cut and dry answer as far as this is concerned, there are some things that you can look out for. Generally speaking, you should not have a difficult time picking up on any problems with your computer. More times than not, you will be able to tell if your computer is underperforming when you use it on a daily basis. Maybe it keeps freezing up when you open up the internet, or it is going extremely slow from screen to screen. No matter what you are noticing, if you use your computer on a regular basis you should be able to tell if it is working like it is supposed to.
If you are not computer savvy you will need to find somebody who can fix your unit for you. Some lucky people who are good with this type of technology can fix their own computer and save on repair costs. But for the most part this is only the case for a small percentage of people. For the rest, the best way to get your computer fixed is to find a repair and service shop in your area. They will then be able to assess your computer and let you know what the problem is. Sure, this will cost you a bit of money, but in the long run it is well worth it.
Overall, if you are having problems with your computer looked into getting them fixed right away. Labels: computer, info, pc, tips

The voters have spoken... Congratulation to the winners. A lot to learn from this election I guess. The important thing is to use the power given by the people to serve the people. Not to act like a king and think this country is all yours. Time change and people change... No more broom as a present I hope, un-islamic and uncivilised. No more stupid projects...
